GMOAI Style: A Washed-Out Wardrobe

Not really washed out, but washed, at least. The shite has gone, and the new stuff is on its way. In a van, somewhere on the M1, come Monday.

Long-winded? Yes. Worth it? Oh yeah.

So, in the first official GMOAI Style page, it's time to take a look at my wonderful H&M basket. It sounds dull, I know, but trust me, it's a whirlwind fashion journey that even John Galliano would be proud of.

So I had to take a look and add to my ever-growing wardrobe of staples. And that involved adding these little wonders. A quick nose in the sale section, and this rather nice 'grandad shirt' jumped out. Grey, sleek, and very smart. And as cheap as it is fashionable, but I couldn't care less.

The second one in this set is, quite simply, a white t-shirt. There is no other way to describe it, other than dull. But, although a very dull man, I don't own a very dull t-shirt. So that'll go down quite nicely in my chest of drawers.

Or what about my love of knitwear? You name it, I've got it in some colour. But I don't own a navy jumper... Until tonight. This rather gorgeous, dirt cheap jumper was £12.99 - I paid £40 for a grey one two years ago. God this'll make me look thin too. My 29" waist can't take much more.

But if I've bought so many tops, I can't just wear them with me grundies... So here comes the trousers. And much to Isobel's vulgar retching, followed by a potential murder, I went cream. Cream chinos are in this season - dressed up or down. A couple of rolls on each leg and some decent shoes and I'll be right as rain in the summer. It's topped off by a brown plaited belt, which makes it look even better. Let's just hope it'll look nice on me, otherwise I'll have to go by a straw bowter and try and look like a nonce from Kent.

I'm not saying all people from Kent are nonces, I'm just saying the majority of posh people somehow manage to emigrate from Kent...

I didn't want to spend any more money. I even said that on Wednesday. But Poppy Dinsey's blog dragged me in again... And her Tweet about The Times Magazine's article about men's fashion made me go out and read it, of which the pictures are below. I've combined a very simple D&G summer chic look, with the colours that suit me - blues and greys. And so, my internet shopping began. Damn you, good bloggers. Damn you.
