AFW: Shirts and Tees [Day 1]

As (hopefully) you all know, it's Adam Fashion Week. Honestly, London Fashion Week isn't a patch on us. AFW is where it's at.

Now, as I mentioned yesterday, my wardrobe is filled with lots and lots of staples, and not a lot of bling. Bearing in mind March's copy of Vogue cost me two hours wages, you can see why.

I hate walking out the house looking a mess - if you drop dead in the middle of the street, you've got to at least look good. I'm talking clean grundies and socks each and every day, nice clothes that aren't dirty and are ironed properly - just basic things to improve a look.

Kinda morbid, but hey ho.

I have three sets of shirts - smart shirts, posh shirts and shit shirts. Now the smart collection are a mixture of Asos, Ralph Lauren, Next and M&S - sacrilege to any fashionista. Posh shirts are what I deem appropriate to wear when going out, whether it be to throw on over a T-shirt, or just something to flash a bit of chest. Mainly Hollister, but pre-trend - when the clothing was actually good and didn't look like it was designed by a group of colourblind 6 year olds.

And shit shirts? Self explanatory. Things to wear when all you want is a pair of slippers and a big mug of coffee. Or some form of alcohol.

Oh, and whilst we're at it, I'm interested in fashion. Contrary to beliefs, straight men can also be interested too...

T-shirts are just hurled into a drawer. There's all sorts of colours and labels - Hollister, Gap, and the odd no-label 'I'm With Stupid' print... Come on, we all have a couple.

I'd love to go out and buy gorgeous clothes from amazing designers and brands, not just the usual stuff all teenagers buy. But we can't win them all! Thank God for savings accounts...

Today's outfit was to try and combat the 15mph winds on the golf course.... A white Hollister T-shirt was teamed with a grey cashmere-blend Next jumper and a pair of old Levi's to create a rather respectable, never-seen-on-a-golf-course-before-and-probably-never-will-again outfit. Well, someone was bound to do it at some point...
